This policy explains how Quantrail Data Private Limited ("Quantrail", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit www.quantrail-data.com (the "website") or contact us through it. It covers this website only. Our products and client engagements have their own agreements.

Who is responsible for your data

Quantrail Data Private Limited, CIIC, Vandalur, Chennai 600048, India, decides how and why your personal data is processed on this website. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary. Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, we are the controller.

What we collect and why

When you send the contact form

The form on our Services page asks for your name, email address, company name, current infrastructure, main problem, estimated data volume, and a message. We use this information to answer your enquiry and to discuss a possible engagement with you. We also send you one email to confirm that we received your message.

The legal basis is your consent when you send the form and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. You do not have to send the form. If you do not, we cannot reply to you through it.

Technical data

When you load a page, our hosting provider receives the technical data that every browser sends: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure, and find faults. When you send the contact form, we use your IP address for a short time to limit how many messages one address can send. We do not save it for this purpose.

Spam protection

The contact form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Turnstile checks signals from your browser and device. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Live chat

If a chat window is shown on the website, the messages and details you type into it are sent to our chat system so that we can answer you. The chat may store a small identifier in your browser so that your conversation continues when you move between pages.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this website.
• We do not send you marketing email unless you ask for it.

Fonts and the site search are served from our own website. Your searches stay in your browser.

Who receives your data

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and answer you:

• Vercel, which hosts the website.
• Google, which provides the email service that delivers contact form messages to us and confirmation messages to you.
• Cloudflare, when Turnstile spam protection is active.
• Our live chat provider, when the chat window is active.

These providers may process data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires it, we rely on suitable safeguards for these transfers. We may also disclose data when the law requires us to do so.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages and chat conversations for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of our business communication. When we no longer need them, we delete them. Hosting logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.

How we protect it

The website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to contact messages is limited to the people at Quantrail who need it to answer you. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data;
• stop or limit how we use your data, or withdraw your consent at any time;
• name another person to use these rights for you, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act allows.

To use any of these rights, contact us through the form on our Services page and say that your message is a privacy request. We will answer within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In India, this is the Data Protection Board of India.

Children
